Jack Daniels Pulled Pork Sandwiches

It’s been a looooong time since I’ve posted on my blog and I’m sorry! Being a teacher, I’ve been so busy this month with school starting, but I’m back now!

Today is the first day of Fall and it is my absolute favorite season! I love the cool weather, fall fashion, and apple and pumpkin EVERYTHING! But another one of my favorite things about Fall is that football season starts again! I am a HUGE New York Giants fan and I spend every Sunday watching football with my family. And what’s football without a little football food???? This past weekend, I used my slow cooker to make Jack Daniels pulled pork sandwiches, and they were a huge hit! Perfect for fall and of course football!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of a loin of pork
  • 1 bottle of Jack Daniels barbecue sauce
  • 1 package of potato rolls

Directions:

  1. Turn your slow cooker on high, and rinse meat under cold water.
  2. Put the loin of pork in the slow cooker, and let it cook until it’s browned, about an hour
  3. Pour about half the bottle of Jack Daniels sauce over the pork, and allow to cook for another 2-3 hours, until it’s tender.
  4. When pork is cooked, use two forks to shred it into pieces. This should be extremely easy as the pork will be nice and tender.
  5. Toast buns if desired and serve pork on top of it. You can also add extra sauce if desired as well

Enjoy!!!!
