It’s been a looooong time since I’ve posted on my blog and I’m sorry! Being a teacher, I’ve been so busy this month with school starting, but I’m back now!
Today is the first day of Fall and it is my absolute favorite season! I love the cool weather, fall fashion, and apple and pumpkin EVERYTHING! But another one of my favorite things about Fall is that football season starts again! I am a HUGE New York Giants fan and I spend every Sunday watching football with my family. And what’s football without a little football food???? This past weekend, I used my slow cooker to make Jack Daniels pulled pork sandwiches, and they were a huge hit! Perfect for fall and of course football!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of a loin of pork
- 1 bottle of Jack Daniels barbecue sauce
- 1 package of potato rolls
Directions:
- Turn your slow cooker on high, and rinse meat under cold water.
- Put the loin of pork in the slow cooker, and let it cook until it’s browned, about an hour
- Pour about half the bottle of Jack Daniels sauce over the pork, and allow to cook for another 2-3 hours, until it’s tender.
- When pork is cooked, use two forks to shred it into pieces. This should be extremely easy as the pork will be nice and tender.
- Toast buns if desired and serve pork on top of it. You can also add extra sauce if desired as well
Enjoy!!!!
